The mobile app runs on iOS and Android and shows the same budget as the web app. Sign in with the same account and your accounts, categories, and transactions are already there. Changes sync both ways.

Install

1

Get the app

Install Budget Bandit from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad. If you are in an early-access or TestFlight build, use the link the team sent you.
2

Open it and sign in

Sign in with the same email and password you use on the web. Your budget loads from your account — there is nothing to set up again.
If you do not see Budget Bandit in your app store yet, the easiest path is to use the web app at budgetbandit.io and install it to your home screen from the browser. Reach out through Contact support if you need the current mobile build.

Turn on the biometric lock

The app can require Face ID, Touch ID, or your fingerprint every time it opens, so your finances stay private even if your phone is unlocked.
1

Open Settings

Tap the gear in the header to open Settings.
2

Enable the lock

Turn on the option to require Face ID or fingerprint to open the app. You will be asked to authenticate once to confirm.
The lock uses your device’s own biometrics and falls back to your device passcode. It only appears as an option if your phone has biometrics or a passcode set up. More on privacy on mobile: Face ID and app lock.

What the mobile app does

  • The same budget, everywhere. Budget, transactions, accounts, and reports — in sync with the web app.
  • Add on the go. A quick-add button records a transaction in seconds. See Add on the go.
  • Works offline. Record and edit without a connection; it syncs when you are back online. See Offline.
  • Privacy screen. Amounts blur in the app switcher and can be hidden on demand.
  • Credit-card view. See each card’s balance, what is safe to pay, and any shortfall at a glance.
