Privacy mode blurs every currency amount in the app so you can use Budget Bandit in public without your balances on display. The layout stays the same — only the numbers are hidden.

Turn it on

There are three ways to toggle privacy mode, and they all flip the same setting:
  • Click the eye icon in the top bar. This is the fastest way and works on any screen.
  • Press P anywhere in the app (outside of a text field).
  • Open Settings, then Preferences, and toggle Privacy mode.

Peek at a value

With privacy mode on, hover over a blurred amount, or focus it with the keyboard, to reveal that one number. Move away and it blurs again. This lets you check a single balance without unblurring the whole screen.
Privacy mode is for shoulder-surfing protection in cafes, on planes, and on shared screens. It is a display toggle, not a security boundary — it does not require a password to turn off.

On mobile

The mobile app blurs amounts the same way, and also blurs the whole screen in the app switcher so your balances do not show in the multitasking view. See Face ID and app lock for stronger protection that requires your face or fingerprint to open the app.
